Chevrolet Beat diesel price increased by Rs 15,000

The top leading car manufacturer General Motors has launched the popular car Chevrolet Beat Diesel. The company is planning to increase the Chevrolet Beat Diesel price by Rs 15000. The General Motors is also planning to implement a price hike up to 2 percent on theirs models in the month of January 2012. P Balendran of General Motors has stated that the Chevrolet Beat was launched with an introductory offer and the company is planning to increase the price due to the decrease in rupee value and along with the higher costs of the production materials is the other reason behind the price hike.

The sharp fall of rupee value is the main reason to the price hike and made the company to pass on their losses to the consumers. The other best selling Chevrolet models for the General Motors like Chevrolet Spark, Chevrolet Cruze, Chevrolet Optra and Chevrolet Captiva price will increase from the month of January 2012. The other car manufacturers are also planning to revise their respective car models price due to the depreciation of the rupee. The country’s top leading manufacturer Maruti India has recently announced a price hike on some of their diesel cars in the month of October. The Toyota India which has a thrice price hike on its model is also expecting to implement another hike in the earlier of January.

The Chevrolet India is planning to launch a new car for the upcoming Auto expo 2012 held in New Delhi. The new car is face lifted version of Chevrolet Captiva will be featured with minor changes in the interiors and the exteriors of the SUV. The new SUV engine will be loaded with a 2.2 L CRDe different from the 2.0 L diesel engine and is capable to produce an improved power output of 184 Bhp.
