Chevrolet Beat Diesel emerges as most fuel coompetent car in India.

India, as discussed many time earlier, has become a very- very prospective market for automobiles industry, so in order to have better foothold here. All are trying their best which is needed to be done. Well if talk about Fuel Efficiency of the cars in India, it seems this thing has taken an enormous jump. Where until now the Tata Indica eV2 was claimed to be the small car having the highest fuel mileage of 25 kmpl in India, this is no more a truth, as General Motors’s all new Chevrolet Beat diesel ha taken this first place by offering a decent mileage of 25.4 kmpl.

Chevrolet Beat diesel after endowed by auto group with a lot of improvements along with a renovated minor engine changes has resulted in a huge upgrading in the mileage offering from original 24 kmpl to 25.4 kmpl. This all is identified bybody International Center for Automotive Testing (ICAT).  Chevrolet Beat review suggest that, this is the similar case as happened in the case of Tata Indica eV2 Which was latter introduced with more efficient engine 1.4 litre diesel engine and resulted out in most efficient car in segment.

Well this is the perfect time, when the all new Chevrolet Beat diesel has come when global car industry is geared up to bring in cars with lowest fuel consumption, and the living example is Tata Nano 2012, which despite of petrol engine offer same nearly mileage of 25.3 kmpl. It seems that it is tome when the auto groups need to be careful about both petrol and diesel cars and that why they are working hard to offer the best. Well the industry is not confined to petrol and diesel cars only, the auto groups have moved more forward. Concept cars showcased at Auto Expo 2012 has showed that the car makers can do with extraordinary numbers on on Volkswagen XL 1 diesel concept and Tata Nano CNG with 111 kmpl and 30-35 kmpl correspondingly.

New Maruti A-Star launched

A facelift for Maruti A-Star was much desired and it happened in 2012. Maruti Suzuki has modified their small car Maruti A-Star to enhance its overall appeal and improve its sales figure. Maruti A-Star was launched some years back but failed to create a niche for itself in the Indian market. This has added more space in the boot of the car for more luggage and other stuff. Some really impressive color tones have also been added to complete the new look. As such, the color shades of Caffeine Brown and Glistening Grey will also be available in addition to the older color options. The refurbished and all new Maruti A-Star pictures show that the two newly introduced colors of the car are very nice.

The car is powered by the 1-litre, 3-cylinder K series petrol engine as before, is available in three trim levels and comes with 4 speed automatic gearbox and 5-speed manual. Maruti A-Star price ranges from Rs. 3.66 lakh for the LXi trim to Rs. 3.97 lakh for the VXi trim. The all new Fiat Linea and Punto launched

The face lifted models of Fiat Linea and Fiat Punto are launched in the Indian market. These two Fiat models were not upto the company's expectations but now with the makeover they might help Fiat in improving its position. Both these cars will be powered by a 1.3 L diesel engine as in their previous models. When we come up to the looks the exterior of the car has undergone some changes which includes the bumper and the headlamps. The interior of the car is also designed in such a manner to provide more comfort to the passengers on the ride. However it doesn't seems that the looks of both these cars were the reason of its low sales in the Indian market. Moreover there has been other reasons of the subdued success of both these cars.

Both these cars Linea sedan and the Punto hatchback were already showcased on the Tata Motors outlets and are now available for sale. There are rumors that the company will soon sell its cars from its own stand alone outlets, which might really help the company in improving their sales to a great extent. Fiat will open its first dealership in New Delhi by adding the charm to their new dealerships with the new Fiat Linea and Fiat Punto.

The sales of the Fiat cars were never upto the expectations of the company and the most probable reason for it could be the sales through the Tata Motors outlet. It is expected that the year 2012 might bring up surfeit sales for this Italian car manufacturer. One more step that the company took for its profit in the market would be the deal that the company has made with Maruti Suzuki to supply the diesel engines. As per the agreement Fiat will supply around 1 lakh engines to Maruti India per annum.
