The all new Fiat Linea and Punto launched

The face lifted models of Fiat Linea and Fiat Punto are launched in the Indian market. These two Fiat models were not upto the company's expectations but now with the makeover they might help Fiat in improving its position. Both these cars will be powered by a 1.3 L diesel engine as in their previous models. When we come up to the looks the exterior of the car has undergone some changes which includes the bumper and the headlamps. The interior of the car is also designed in such a manner to provide more comfort to the passengers on the ride. However it doesn't seems that the looks of both these cars were the reason of its low sales in the Indian market. Moreover there has been other reasons of the subdued success of both these cars.

Both these cars Linea sedan and the Punto hatchback were already showcased on the Tata Motors outlets and are now available for sale. There are rumors that the company will soon sell its cars from its own stand alone outlets, which might really help the company in improving their sales to a great extent. Fiat will open its first dealership in New Delhi by adding the charm to their new dealerships with the new Fiat Linea and Fiat Punto.

The sales of the Fiat cars were never upto the expectations of the company and the most probable reason for it could be the sales through the Tata Motors outlet. It is expected that the year 2012 might bring up surfeit sales for this Italian car manufacturer. One more step that the company took for its profit in the market would be the deal that the company has made with Maruti Suzuki to supply the diesel engines. As per the agreement Fiat will supply around 1 lakh engines to Maruti India per annum.
