New Maruti A-Star launched

A facelift for Maruti A-Star was much desired and it happened in 2012. Maruti Suzuki has modified their small car Maruti A-Star to enhance its overall appeal and improve its sales figure. Maruti A-Star was launched some years back but failed to create a niche for itself in the Indian market. Unlike other small cars of Maruti, A-Star failed to get  average sales figures and was not in much demand. This must have been a setback for the manufacturers who then decided to make the vehicle better. Consequently, a complete makeover has been given to Maruti A-Star.

The all new Maruti A-Star of 2012 has a whole new feel. The interiors have been hugely improvised while the internals have been kept same. New upholstery with nicely designed front head restraints have added much panache to the interiors while alloy wheels and provision of ABS and airbags has made the car more secure and sturdy. It is possible to get a 50-50 split fold of the single gold rear seats also. This has added more space in the boot of the car for more luggage and other stuff. Some really impressive color tones have also been added to complete the new look. As such, the color shades of Caffeine Brown and Glistening Grey will also be available in addition to the older color options. The refurbished and all new Maruti A-Star pictures show that the two newly introduced colors of the car are very nice.

The car is powered by the 1-litre, 3-cylinder K series petrol engine as before, is available in three trim levels and comes with 4 speed automatic gearbox and 5-speed manual. Maruti A-Star price ranges from Rs. 3.66 lakh for the LXi trim to Rs. 3.97 lakh for the VXi trim. The automatic version of the car costs more and its price goes up to Rs. 4.47 lakh (ex showroom Delhi) for both the variants.
