Mahindra Xylo face-lifted version coming on 8 February

2012 seems like the year of facelifts!  Every car manufacturer in order to increase the sales volume is coming up with mid-life facelifts of its car models. Following the trend Mahindra and Mahindra is coming up with the face-lifted version of its MPV, Mahindra Xylo. The new Mahindra Xylo will sizzle the Indian car market and is going to launch on 8th February 2012.

2012 Mahindra Xylo has undergone rigorous testing and for the longest period of time before its launch, seems like Mahindra is not going to take any chances with the new version of their happy legs car.  The new  Xylo will come with two engine namely 2.2 litre of mEagle common rail turbo diesel engine churning out peak power of 112 BHP along with 2.2 litre of direct injection diesel engine producing 95 BHP of peak power.  It can also be based on current engines which have altered cylinders and hardware which also supports Mini Xylo MPV.  With a length of less than 4 meters, the new will have its extra wheel fixed on the rear gate, the 2012 Mahindra Xylo price is still speculated.

The exteriors of the new Xylo are revamped meaning refreshed headlamps, new bonnet, redesigned front bumper and a new chic grille. Overall the Mahindra will definitely be more stylish and comfortable to appeal to the Indian audience. Mahindra is very hush with the whole plan about the Mahindra Xylo Mini as Mahindra is very new to the small car manufacturing sector but have been a big player in the body types like MUVs, MPVs and SUVs. As per the rumors the Xylo Mini will be five doors and will likely to come under the tag of SUV and not a hatchback. The only question left for the future is will Mahindra Xylo be able to compete against the Multijet powered Rio?
