The eagerly awaited MPV – Maruti Ertiga to be launched tomorrow

The brand new Multi Purpose Vehicle Maruti Ertiga, from the stables of the reputed Maruti India is getting launched tomorrow. This MPV was first showcased in the 2012 Automobile Expo and since then the dealers as well as the company have received numerous enquiries regarding the details of the launch as well as its specifications and features. This compact MPV is being offered in petrol and diesel versions with three trims for each version and is expected to be priced very aggressively to compete with all the contenders in its segment. The Maruti Ertiga price is starting at Rs. 6.50 lakh, ex-showroom New Delhi and the top end variant of Maruti Ertiga diesel car will be offered at Rs.9.40 (ex-showroom New Delhi). Both these versions boast of a very healthy fuel economy with the petrol version claiming to produce 16.02 Kmpl, while the diesel version offers a healthy mileage of 20.77 Kmpl.

The exteriors of this MPV are very smooth and sleek with a decent radiator grille, which houses the company’s badge and a bright head lamp cluster as seen in the Maruti Ertiga pictures. The front body colored bumpers has been integrated with a set of fog lamps for enhanced visibility. While, the body colored door handles and OVRM’s add to the beauty of this MPV. The petrol car engine is an advanced K-Series, 1.4 liter mill capable of delivering 93.8 Bhp of power along with 130 Nm of torque. Whereas, the diesel motor is a 1.3 liter direct diesel injection system with an ability to generate 88.8 Bhp and a peak torque of 200 Nm as stated in a Maruti Ertiga review. The Maruti company has also fitted this MPV with good quality safety and comfort features for the convenience of the passengers. Apart from this MPV, other upcoming vehicles such as Tata Safari Storme, Chevrolet Captiva and Volkswagen Jetta are lined up for their launch in the coming weeks. Recently shared Maruti Ertiga all set to carve a city MPV niche and Ertiga coming tomorrow,will it be a game changer for Maruti?
