Maruti to add a boot to A-star ?

Maruti India is planning to further increase their market share in the automobile segment of the country and is contemplating to introduce a sedan car that can be positioned between their Maruti Swift Dzire and the elegant Maruti SX4. Maruti India is one of the leading car makers in the country and is doing very well in the market since a long time. There were a few speculations a year ago about the company preparing to introduce the Maruti A-star sedan for the Indian market. According to hearsay, this sedan might be initially launched in the European car market somewhere in the next year and then it might be launched in the Indian car market. The Maruti A-star price starts at Rs. 3.76 lakh, ex-showroom New Delhi and it is being offered in a petrol version only as of now. The Maruti A-star pictures reveal the wonderful styling and a brilliant aerodynamic design of this hatchback car. The front façade is complete with a neat and classy head lamp cluster with a wide radiator grille and a compact bonnet as can be seen in the Maruti A-star pictures.

According to a Maruti A-star review, this hatch back is equipped with a 1.0 liter, 12 valve, KB series petrol motor good enough to displace 998cc with a peak power of 67 Ps and a 90 Nm of torque. It has 3 cylinders and is fitted with a 5-speed manual transmission gear box. The company is also offering an automatic variant that is mated with a 4-speed automatic transmission gear box. This compact hatchback has a long list of good quality features and the company has also taken care of the safety features for the protection of the occupants.

Maruti India is ready to launch their latest MPV – Maruti Ertiga this month along with Chevrolet Captiva, Tata Safari Storme and Volkswagen Jetta waiting to be launched as well for the Indian car market. I recently shared that Toyota Etios and Liva to hit South African shores and Renault unearths E4 D with a price tag of Rs.15.20 lakh.
